Hi everyone!
So yesterday I was 7dpo and was feeling super tired and didn’t have any pregnancy tests so I decided to take an ovulation test strip because I heard if it’s positive and the lines are dark it could be picking up early pregnancy, but obviously idk how true this is. soooo I took the test and it was a pretty dark line! Now it’s 8 dpo and i decided to test again with the ovulation strip and it’s even darker. It went up by 0.23 compared to yesterday. I’m going to take a first response tomorrow morning but has this ever happened to anyone else? Like why else would my ovulation strips be positive at 7 and 8 dpo? And there’s no way I’m ovulating late because I use clear blue digital ovulation tests and I got my peak on November 10th at night. Would love to hear your thoughts and if this has happened to you :)

I don’t think it’s the LH, someone on YouTube I can’t remember her account said that the test strips can’t tell the difference between LH and HCG so it shows positive when it detects HCG. I could be wrong tho! But I’ll let you know how it goes! Gonna test tomorrow morning with first morning urine. If it’s negative ima wait till Friday to test again. Hoping this is your month!

It can be due to 3 reasons
1) your body failed to ovulate originally and is now trying to (if it’s positive)
2) closer to AF it’s actually normal for LH to rise (without being pregnant)
3) and yes it can be picking up the HCG hormone but you won’t know if you are actually pregnant just using an LH test. You’ll need to do a home pregnancy test to know for sure

I’ve had this happen a couple of times. Random LH rise then AF. USUALLY if LH strips are picking up HCG you can test and a pregnancy test will show up positive. I know with my last pregnancy LH strips where reading positive 12DPO and when I took a pregnancy test there was an obvious line
